How to Choose a Containerised Mobile EV Charging Station Supplier: Seven Points MPMC Builds Into Every Unit

Containerised mobile EV charging stations bring high-power charging and large energy storage together in a robust, transportable enclosure. They suit logistics hubs, construction compounds, remote routes and large events, where a single unit must deliver hundreds of kilowatts day after day. Choosing the right supplier comes down to how well the container, battery, charger, safety systems and support are engineered as one product. These are the seven points MPMC builds into its heavy-duty BCH models: the BCH-600-400, BCH-800-600 and the containerised BCH-500-1000.

Points 1 to 4: Power, Battery, Enclosure and Safety

1. Charging Power Matched to Storage

The BCH-500-1000 pairs 500 kW of DC charging with 1,075 kWh of storage in a 20-foot container, the BCH-800-600 delivers 600 kW from 610.6 kWh with 1C performance, and the BCH-600-400 delivers 400 kW from 407 kWh. Each uses two 350 A CCS2 guns with 6 m cables and a 50-1,000 V output range.

Matching charging power to storage determines how many vehicles a unit can serve between recharges. The large energy reserve of the BCH-500-1000 suits round-the-clock hubs, while the 1C capability of the BCH-800-600 suits sites where trucks and machines need rapid top-ups.

2. A Battery Built for Heavy Cycling

Blade LFP packs in a sandwich structure are tested for fire, water immersion, collision and crushing, rated for 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge, and held within 6.7°C by precision thermal control. The heavy-duty models use liquid-cooled battery packs suited to mines and construction sites.

3. An Enclosure for Every Climate

Units operate from -20°C to +50°C and up to 3,000 m altitude, with C4 anti-corrosion coating as standard and C5 available on the BCH-800-600 and BCH-500-1000 for ports and coastal hubs.

Every enclosure is fabricated and finished with the same disciplined processes MPMC applies across its product lines, giving containerised chargers a long service life at ports, construction sites and exposed logistics yards.

4. Layered Safety Systems

CE-certified aerosol fire protection is built in, and the BCH-800-600 and BCH-500-1000 add an explosion-proof breather for precision pressure relief. MPMC’s products carry CE and UN38.3 approvals for international shipment and use.

Points 5 to 7: Connectivity, Versatility and Support

5. Smart, Open Connectivity

An EMS with 4G, OCPP 1.6 and an open cloud-ready API connects each unit to charging management and fleet platforms, with optional RFID payment and full remote monitoring and command.

Integrated SCADA automates energy management, so units operate autonomously with minimal staffing, and operators can review charging sessions and battery status for every container from a central office.

6. Versatile Site Power

Beyond charging, the container powers the site: PowerLock connections of up to 800 A on the BCH-500-1000, CEE sockets from 16 A to 125 A, UPS-grade AC output on the two largest models and charging guns that support simultaneous charge and discharge.

Each unit can be recharged from the grid, a generator set, battery storage or solar PV through dedicated AC and solar connections, or through its 400 kW CCS2 DC input.

7. Manufacturing and Service Depth

MPMC designs and builds the BCH Series in its own Jiangsu factories, including MPMC Energy Tech in Yangzhong, opened in 2025 with USD 27 million of investment, which produces containerised lithium battery energy storage systems and battery pack modules on automated assembly lines. Projects include design consultation, customisation, factory testing, logistics and commissioning, followed by remote diagnostics through the SCADA/EMS cloud platform.
