Wash inside out: Before washing, turn your socks inside out. This allows the
inside of the socks (the part that comes into direct contact with your foot and
is the dirtiest) to fully contact the water and detergent, resulting in a
cleaner wash. It also reduces friction on the outer surface of the socks,
protecting the color and fibers.
Wash separately: It is best to wash socks with similar items such as
underwear and towels, and avoid mixing them with outer clothing (especially
items with buttons and zippers) to prevent snagging and cross-contamination.
Use a neutral detergent: Avoid using highly alkaline soaps or laundry
detergents, as they can damage fibers (especially wool and silk) and cause socks
to become stiff. A neutral detergent is recommended.
Keep the water temperature low: Wash in cold or lukewarm water (below 30°C).
Excessively hot water can reduce the elasticity of fibers, shrink them, and set
stubborn stains.
Rinse thoroughly: Be sure to rinse all detergent thoroughly; residual
chemicals can damage fibers and potentially irritate the skin.
